Big news! Fulton Bank has made a wonderful contribution to our Neighborhood Assistance Program, and we couldn't be more grateful.

Their support will bring hands-on Career Pathways programming to middle and high school students in under-resourced communities, including brand-new resources in our Fab Lab and Mobile Fab Lab, and exciting student connections with real Lehigh Valley businesses.

This is what community partnership looks like. Thank you Fulton Bank!

It's spring cleaning for our river otters! Jordan, Cacy, Cedar, and Toby's habitat is getting some routine maintenance done starting this Monday, June 1 through Tuesday, June 2, so they will be off exhibit during this time.

Don't worry, they will be back and cuter than ever very soon!

A state-of-the-art science museum and a formerly under-resourced elementary school form a rare partnership.

🦦 World Otter Day Fun Fact 🦦

You can help protect otters by limiting your contributions to non-point source water pollution. Simple actions like keeping your car well-maintained and minimizing the use of road salt in the winter can help keep our waterways clean, which is critical for otters and the fish they eat!

Thanks for celebrating with us! You can catch our four North American River Otters in our Lehigh River Watershed exhibit gallery during our regular hours, and of course, you can watch them 24/7 with the WFMZ Otter Cam at https://www.wfmz.com/features/ottercam/.

🦦 World Otter Day Fun Fact 🦦

North American River Otters (Pennsylvania’s largest member of the weasel family) suffered severe population declines in our state in the early 1900s due to over-trapping for their pelts, and destruction of wetland habitat.

But good news! Conservation work like habitat restoration, trapping regulations, and reintroductions, has restored their populations and they are once again common in the Lehigh Valley.

Don't forget to check out the WFMZ Otter Cam until 5 p.m. today to get a special enhanced view of our otters! https://www.wfmz.com/features/ottercam/

🦦 Happy World Otter Day! On the last Wednesday of May each year, we celebrate otters and raise conservation awareness globally for these wonderful water weasels.

🎥 Otter Cam: Although WFMZ’s Otter Cam is active 24/7, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. today you can tune in for a special enhanced view that follows our four river otters around as they explore their habitat. 🔗https://www.wfmz.com/features/ottercam/

Visitors to the Science Center today can watch the otters enjoy a special World Otter Day treat during our 3 p.m. Otter Chat. If you can’t make it today, Otter Chats occur at 3 p.m. every day the Science Center is open.
