🐟Join us on Saturday, May 30, 3-7 pm - for art, paleo-sculpture, music, and a fish dinner!

Art:
Enjoy underwater photographer Garold Sneegas in conversation with "Fish Bros" Joe Tomelleri & Ray Troll for the opening of Sneegas' exhibition, "Flint Hills Fishes"!

Paleo-sculpture:
Meet Gary Staab, paleosculptor of dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures for museums across the country.
Staab will bring BIG PARTS and discuss his process. Staab just completed the bison that were installed at the entrance of the National Museum of Natural History at the Smithsonian.

Music:
Listen to some good ol’ tunes written and performed by "Lonesome Charlie Bonner," the fossil-hunter from Scott City, KS

Food:
Fish Dinner prepared by Adam Waechter of Mel's Gathering Spot in Alma, KS.

🎭 Celebrate Kansas history and America’s 250th with Kansas Abridged! 👇
Short plays written by local playwrights contain three ingredients that must appear in each play. Each writer has selected a favorite period of Kansas history as the setting for their play, and the three ingredients tie all of them together across the jumps in history.

Doors will open at 6:30pm with food from Jonny V's BBQ (order your BBQ when you purchase tickets), drinks from MHK CaravanCo., and homemade ice cream from FlintHills Pints. See Garold Sneegas' exhibition, Flint Hills Fishes, and enjoy a walk along Volland’s trails.

🎟 Tickets for Kansas Abridged go on sale May 22!

Enjoy an evening of food and drink, visual and performing arts at Volland on June 26 or 27.

Jonny V's BBQ, Manhattan Caravan Co., and Flint Hills Pints; Garold Sneegas' underwater photography in the gallery; and Volland's grounds open at 6:30pm.

At 8pm the attention shifts to the Ruin where local playwrights and actors perform original plays centered on Kansas history.
