Sorry this didn't post yesterday.

The winners of the barn quilts were Sarah Wyrill of Kirwin and Larry Sorenson of Hope. Sarah's name was drawn first and she opted for the sunflower 2x2. Larry and Judy Sorenson took home the 4x4. Congratulations to them.

Thank you to everyone who brought tractors, bought barn quilt tickets or had lunch with us. It was a beautiful day, although it started out quite chilly.

We appreciate everyone's support.

The 15th annual Spring Crank Up! Tractor Show is scheduled for Saturday, April 18th at Ag Heritage Park in Alta Vista. The barn quilt drawing is planned to memorialize Founder Hazel Zimmerman.
The Spring Crank Up! Tractor Show is open to all tractor owners that enjoy the camaraderie of sharing their tractors and their stories. Besides the Show tractor owners are welcome to join the Parade of Power planned for 10:30 a.m. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m., with no registration fees and free lunch. The public is invited to view the Parade of Power through downtown Alta Vista, and then visit Ag Heritage Park for the Tractor Owner Introductions following the Parade. The tractors should be on display at Ag Heritage Park until 2:00 p.m.
A barn quilt drawing will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon. Barn Quilt Artist Connie Larson says for this drawing she painted the barn quilt patterns that her Mother had painted for the barns on the farm. As Ag Heritage Park lost Founder Hazel Zimmerman December 31st, the Board thought it would be fitting that we honor her with this drawing to benefit Ag Heritage Park.
Hazel’s “Farmer’s Daughter” is featured as a 4’ x 4’ and her “Sunflower” pattern is available in the drawing as a 2’ x 2’. Tickets will be available at the Park prior to the drawing, and other ticket information is available on-line. Ticket winners do not have to be present to win.

Follow Ag Heritage Park Facebook for the latest updates. Ag Heritage Park will be open tractor show day from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; rain or shine. Snacks and lunch will be available all day. Admission to the handicap accessible park is by donation, used for park upkeep and maintenance.
