With special thanks to Eric Levin and our friends at Pennsy Railcar Restorations we received the gift of PRR cabin car trucks to aid us in the restoration of our Pennsylvania Railroad class N5 cabin car 477577. During the Penn Central era through Conrail many older PRR cabin cars were equipped with alternative components such as New York Central trucks, modified with new stairs, and gasketed windows. Thanks to our volunteers No. 477577 is receiving much needed attention to sheet metal repair and replacement, wooden frames windows, roof grab irons, walkway, interior rehabilitation with new tough and groove wood walls, electrical and lighting. The museum is extremely thankful to all of our supporters and our volunteers who are the backbone of all things restoration at the Railroaders Memorial Museum. Stay tuned as we continue to progress.
