Hello Brush patrons and friends! We know that everyone is eager to get back to "normal". We are writing to let you know that Brush remains closed at this time. Unfortunately, Covid19 is far from over and we do not feel comfortable putting any of our patrons, friends or family at risk. I PROMISE you that we will be back to making beautiful and functional art just as soon as it is safe to do so. Thank you all for your understanding and your patience. We wish you all health, safety and happiness and hope to see you all again sooner than later. Blessings to you all ❤️

Hello Brush patrons! I know we are all struggling with staying home but it is so important right now to stay strong and know that we are doing the right thing for our health and for our friends and neighbors health as well. Brush will still remain closed for events until it is completely safe to come together as groups again. It is the safety of our patrons and staff that is our utmost priority. We do not have any to-go projects available at this time as we have not been able to allocate funds for purchasing those materials needed to make that available. Stay home and stay healthy everyone, and we will see you all again when it's safe to do so! Hope you are all doing well!

Update: BRUSH will remain closed until April 13th at this time due to community spread of Coronavirus, the virus that causes the disease Covid-19. This date may be extended depending on further information released in this pandemic. Please stay safe and healthy and PLEASE stay home if you can. Take this seriously.

Due to community spread now evident in Iowa, Brush will be cancelling all public events for March and possibly into April depending on the need for social distancing at that time. Thank you to all our patrons and I wish you all to remain healthy and safe. We will be back to helping you create wonderful art for your homes as soon as it's safe to do so.
Private parties that are upcoming, we will be in contact with you regarding postponing or cancelling your events. We apologise for any inconveniences this may cause you, but strongly feel it's important to keep everyone safe and to help slow the spread of the virus to not overburden our healthcare system, so everyone can get treatment when needed. Take care everyone!!

The event "Oh Happy Day" painting Friday March 13th at Nook and Nest had been cancelled due to low registration. I may be considering cancelling further events for March due to the prevelance of the Coronavirus in Iowa and people trying to avoid gatherings. I will bring our public events back as soon as it will be safer for community members to get together and craft. I will leave registration open for the remaining March public events until about 4 days before each event before cancelling. Private events may still be available. But as a reminder please do not attend an event if you have travelled to areas where the virus is prevalent, especially overseas within 30 days or if you have been around others who are sick or you yourself have been sick recently. Please take this pandemic seriously, but without panic. Thank you my wonderful patrons! Stay healthy!!

Don't forget to check out all the upcoming events you can attend in March! I will be posting a registration for a kids painting day for March 18 sometime today as well! We all need something to do for spring break!

That being said, with the growing concern and CDC recommendations surrounding the coronavirus and illness in general, I am REQUIRING that anyone who is sick or been exposed to someone else who is actively sick (including colds) to avoid coming to any events. If you register for an event and become sick or have been exposed I will work with you regarding a refund or raincheck, so do not worry about that and DO NOT COME to the event. I want everyone to stay healthy and safe including myself and my family. Thank you and stay healthy out there!
