Welcome to one of Idaho's Greatest Treasures.

Embark on an eye opening journey into the past.

On display at Jerry Lee Young's Idaho Heritage Museum is one of the largest private owned collections of Native American Artifacts and Mounted Animals in the U.S.

While touring the 7000 square feet grandeur one will experience:

•Native American Culture- Fantastic bead work and clothing, including Chief Pocatello's Gloves. We have one of the largest collections of Trade Beads on display and many Murals depicting a forgotten way of life.
•Over 20,000 Native American Artifacts- Magnificent arrowheads, spears, knives, baskets, bone tools and the Atlatl (a high tech weapon that allowed ancient hunters to bring down the giant animals that roamed the Great Basin)
•Over 300 large and small game animals in their natural habitat including the complete North American Slam for Bighorn Sheep, the complete World Slam for Moose and Caribou, and many record class big game animals.
•Have you ever seen an Albino Rock Chuck? You'll see it here. We also have a huge bird collection including Waterfowl, Pheasants, and hundreds of game birds.

•Lifesize modern day Bison, remains from the Bison Bison (10,000 yrs. old), the Antiquities (25,000 to 30,000 yrs. old), the Latifrons (l50,000 yrs. old) and other remains of extinct species that once grazed on the shores of the Ancient Lake Bonneville.
• We are proud to show off our display of the 3 Precious Metals......Gold, Silver and Guns!!! -- Wi******er and Commemorative Rifles, C**t Revolvers(The guns that won the West). Gold and Silver coins, and a belt made entirely of Morgan Silver Dollars from 1878-1904.
•Last, but certainly not least, is our curator Jerry Lee Young ready to share a wealth of knowledge. Jerry is usually at the museum sharing stories, answering questions or giving a tour.
•Idaho Heritage Museum's journey to the past will leave you with an unforgettable experience. See you soon!
