Friends of Campbell Tract The Friends of the Campbell Creek Science Center is dedicated to supporting the educational programs and initiatives of the Campbell Creek Science Center.

Created in 2005 with the directional values of Stewardship, Accessibility, and Opportunities for outdoor science education. The volunteer board helps fundraise and provide volunteers to support the CCSC.

Let's go!

With only one week until the Iditarod Ceremonial Start, let’s talk logistics! Here’s what to know before you join us at BLM’s Campbell Tract:

🗓️ Date and Time
March 7th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
🚌 Free Shuttle Service
BLM is offering free shuttle buses from Service High School to the BLM Campbell Creek Science Center.
-First shuttle leaves Service High School at 9:45 a.m.
-LAST shuttle departs the BLM Campbell Creek Science Center at 2:30 p.m.
🚶 Getting There on Foot (or skis or bikes)
Viewers can walk, ski or bike in using nearby parking lots and trailheads, such as Abbott Loop Community Park and Campbell Airstrip Trailhead.
⛔ No On-Site Parking
Parking on Campbell Tract will be closed during the event.
🌟 Activities and Booths
BLM Campbell Creek Science Center will have interactive booths and hands‑on activities for all ages.
🌮 Food & Warm Drinks
Enjoy lunch from one of the on‑site food trucks, and warm up with complimentary hot chocolate or coffee while supplies last.
🚫 No Pets, Please
For everyone’s safety, please leave your dog at home for the event.

📢COME VOLUNTEER THIS MONTH!
Campbell Tract National Public Lands Day 2025

The nation’s largest single-day volunteer event is next week! We’re looking for volunteers to help with a variety of different service projects including some recreation and trail projects. If you like to break a sweat, help spread gravel on Birch K**b Trail. If you like to paint, help re-paint some trail posts on the trails. Let’s make Campbell Tract Special Recreation Management Area a better space for all. Everyone is welcome!
