This is not your ordinary home furnishing store mirror. The mirror is a custom size at 23.25" x 37.25" with an 1.75" custom bevel. The overall dimensions of the framed mirror is 32" x 46". It can hang horizontally or vertically to fit your space. The frame is built from the Lavo collection by Roma Moulding which features bright and bold fusion of traditional carvings enveloped in modern high gloss lacquer – all created, blended and applied by master craftsmen in Italy. Available in sumptuous, electric colors. This particular size is no longer available. Regular retail price of a custom ground mirror shipped to Alaska with this custom frame would be $1,570. Don Clary visited Heritage Art & Frames.... "First Alaskan track and field Olympian (1984) 4-time All-American at University of Oregon Inducted in University of Oregon Hall of Fame (1998) 4-time Olympic trials qualifier (1976, 1980, 1984, 1988) Multiple Alaska running records, several of which still stand."....credit Alaska Sport Hall of Fame
Fast forward to 2024, I was able to help Don with the task of corralling all of those metals. He started the project on his own with some premade shadowbox frames. I helped complete the job, sometimes just a little custom is all that it needs. P.S. Don had the layout all figured out! Thank goodness.

Story Time!
Meeting Jana Latham and being introduced to her art has been an interesting and exciting journey.

She and I have both been involved in the Anchorage art scene for many years, myself since 1986 and Jana since 2004 yet somehow our paths have never crossed until about a month ago. A couple of weeks before the June First Friday show at Heritage Art & Frames, Jana and I were introduced to each other by a mutual friend Beth Bennett. Plans for the show were made and Jana got to work printing all her amazing images that are hanging in the show. She was willing to hang the show herself which I knew she could handle with her experience as an art gallery owner, and quite frankly relieved that I could be steadfast with my framing projects. I was able to assist with some screw eyes and wire or other miscellaneous framing task to help her, the show was hung and looking fabulous in just a couple of days. The big day: Just what you want a First Friday show to look like, lots of excited people talking about and purchasing art. The day after the show I was taking some “me time” hanging out at home drinking coffee and decided to hop on Facebook to see what my peeps have been up to, scrolling, scrolling...Oh yeah, I’ve been meaning to search for Jana on here. There she is, Jana Latham.

I sent her a text message to inquire what year she graduated, Jana and I graduated from the same high school in Florida two years apart.
