"The Alaska Paleo-Project" is an annual public exhibition of works in progress by Alaskan artists James & Andi Havens. Painted on location and in large public venues, this event features the flora and fauna of ancient Alaska and is designed to help raise public awareness of Alaska’s fantastic paleontological past, foster new knowledge of subject and encourage public participation in the hands on p

rocesses of creating a large scale piece of original art. This event is also designed to celebrate Alaska’s dedicated professionals that continue the mission of bringing Alaska ancient past to life and the many wonderful local museums. Scientists, museum staff, and paleontologists are to speak in relation to the project as they develop.
