Please join your friends and neighbors this Saturday, December 6th at 5:00 PM at 288 Main St in Andes for the Hunting Tavern Museum’s Annual Soup & Bread Night — a cozy Andes tradition and the perfect way to kick off the holiday season.

📍 Andes Thrift Shop — Old Fire Hall

The Andes Thrift Shop is officially closed for the season, and what a season it was! Many thanks to everyone who shopped, donated, and helped make this year such a success. Every dollar raised goes directly toward preserving our beloved historic buildings — the Fire Hall, the Hunting Tavern Museum, and the Pleasant Valley Meeting House.

A huge shout-out to the amazing team from the Andes Hotel - , Heather, Luke, and everyone else — for decorating the Fire Hall so beautifully for the holidays. 🎄✨

And of course, none of this would exist without our incredible volunteers who spent the season sorting, pricing, and selling with so much heart. Thank you for everything you do!

We’re excited to invite you to the End of Season Sale at the Andes Thrift Shop this weekend!

This Labor Day weekend we also gather to remember the communities lost beneath the waters.
Reservoir Day honors the 70th anniversary of the flooding of the East Branch River Valley, which wiped out Pepacton, Shavertown, Union Grove, and Arena.

What a summer it’s been in Andes! 🎉 Over 200 friends and neighbors joined us at the Hunting Tavern for the opening of our Calico and Tin Horns exhibition. The energy in the room reminded us just how strong this community is — and how much our shared history matters.

And we’re not slowing down! As part of our Labor Day programming, we’re thrilled to welcome Dr. Nancy Newman, Professor at the University at Albany–SUNY, for a special talk and musical demonstration on Songs of the Anti-Rent Movement.
