Join us at the gallery tonight at 6:15 for the first-ever event in "Writers on Stage," our series of readings by accomplished authors and poets.

We're honored to have as our inaugural reader Johanna Lane, who will read from her novel "Black Lake."

Raised in Ireland, educated at St. Andrews and Columbia universities, for the 2017-'18 academic year Johanna is Phillips Academy's Writer-in-Residence.

Before and after Johanna's reading, veteran acoustic guitarist Rick Schilling will play selections from multiple traditions, including Spanish, Classical, and American Songbook. Rick's performance is the second in Alpers Gallery's series of live-music events, "Gigs at the Gallery."

Refreshments served, free admission, wheelchair accessible, abundant parking, open to all. 28 Chestnut St., Andover.
