The joy in the weavery when a Heart of the Lakes weaver does a loom cut-off is a feeling like no other - AATC is a feeling as well as a hub of creativity, kindness and inclusion. Heart of the Lakes Weaver Michael recently celebrated a joyful loom cut off to the cheers of his fellow weavers, AATC staff and guests visiting our gallery.
Tuesday-Friday of each week people of all ages come together at AATC to live out our mission: jobs with dignity in a joyful place. Within our walls kindness is a guiding principle, where those who have too often been slighted or excluded are not just included but integral and valued members of our team.
At AATC artistry is nourished and celebrated. It is a place of community, connection, vocation and artistry. While many participate in what AATC offers, our north star and our reason for being is the Heart of the Lakes Weavers. They are an ever-present reminder and inspiration of what is possible.
