In true Day of the Dead fashion, I am invting you to honor this beloved studio. Just because Already Artists at this location has passed on, please acknowledge that we live on in your memories &, more concretely now, at ArtFarm Annapolis (our exciting collaborative venture with Sugar Farm Productions). Please pay your respects & like Already Artists Studio- just as you still love your old granny or that stupid cat who ran out into the street. We have all moved on to a better place but show us we still remain in your hearts. Thank you.
***No children were harmed in the relocation of this studio.

Tonight at the studio party there will be many old photos from art classes past. Bring your tissues. It's a tear-jerker. Also, I'm going to be parting with some of the studio paraphernalia (for those lucky artists who stop by).

Dear Loyal Clientele,

After more than 9 years creating alongside your talented children here in Annapolis I have come to the conclusion that this is the time to retire my teaching smock. It is not the economy. Evidently, high gas prices & national joblessness have no bearing on disposable income when compared with the importance of an exceptional art education in this town. It is simply time for me, as the sole owner & operator, to turn my attention to a more adult-centric artistic endeavor before I am too old to hold a paintbrush.

This has been a difficult decision to make & I fear that I have avoided writing this difficult email for too long. Our lease is up at our little studio this May & we will be vacating 37 Maryland Avenue this spring. I am in the process of choosing & setting up a new studio for my personal work & hopefully for small private lessons for those young ones who would like to continue evolving with me as an artist. There will be a sabbatical phase while I find the perfect place to land.

I have immensely enjoyed & will always treasure my time with your children. Annapolis has been very generous to me. I have found here a large group of families who have a love & an appreciation for art & who understood what Already Artists was offering their children & why it was important. For this I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Besides giving birth to my 3 children, Already Artists Studio has been my greatest accomplishment, source of inspiration & endless gratification.

It is with both sadness & hopeful excitement that I write this email. I am looking forward to discovering what else lies in my artistic future but I will miss the studio like I will miss my daughter when she leaves for college next year.

I will send out an email notification in the event that we hold a end-of-lease or alumni appreciation party. There is still plenty to do, lots to clear out & more fun to be had before this is all over on May 31st.

Thank you so much for entrusting me with your children for so many years.
