🎶 An afternoon of stories, songs, and the soul of American Roots music is coming to the Apalachicola Yacht Club!

Join acclaimed Gulf Coast singer-songwriter Corey Hall on June 11 at 4 PM for an intimate “listening room” style performance in the outdoor pavilion, hosted by AAHS. Corey will share conversations and musical interpretations tracing the roots of American music, from the blues legends of Mississippi John Hurt and R.L. Burnside to his own original sound.

While this is a free event, donations are warmly welcomed and benefit our local historical society, helping AAHS continue its mission of preserving and sharing the rich history of our community. 🎸

Elves have been busy, and the weather forecast for Saturday is looking better for the Chamber Holiday market. BUT, avoid the crowds and come get your wreath at the Raney Carriage House 126 Market Street 10-4 when Raney House is open. We will take credit cards, local checks, as well as cash. Wreaths range in price from $35 to $75 depending on size and decorations

12/01/2025

Wreath-making begins today at the Raney Carriage House around 10am. Elves will be working this week to create the popular holiday decorations, made with local greens. Wreaths will be on sale at Saturday’s Chamber Fresh Market downtown. Wreaths will be on sale and orders will be taken. All proceeds go to the Apalachicola Area Historical Society. “Elves” are needed to create wreaths, collect greens and coordinate sales on Saturday. Join us for some holiday fun and friendship

The Historical Society is getting ready to make holiday wreaths with local fresh greens, a tradition we think the community loves this time of year. We are looking for our 2025 Elves to come help - we will be ready to go at 10am on Monday December 2 and thru Thursday December 5 at the Raney Carriage House 126 Market Street. Lots of helpers needed at any skill level (we will teach you).
We will also need folks to help with sales (and taking orders) on Saturday (Dec 6, so if that suits you better, be in touch at the Raney House 850-653-1700 (or text Caty Greene at 850-323-2305).
