This could be your solution to a new centerpiece for the holiday season! The tradition of creating a Putz House comes from Germany. The name comes from the German word putzen, meaning “to decorate” or “to putter.” So join us Nov. 4 — prepared to “putter” and enjoy the experience of creating a one-of-a-kind treasure.
The Putz House workshop will take place in our Gallery Studio, located behind The Upstairs Gallery at 1038 West Abram in Arlington. Call the gallery for more information.

As part of the Arlington 150 Celebration, The Upstairs Gallery artists were challenged to create paintings highlighting key icons and significant images of Arlington history. Court Bailey drove around the city looking for inspiration and found his painting at the corner of Center Street and E. Division Street.

The historic Vandergriff Building is downtown Arlington's oldest standing commercial structure. Built in 1927, it soon became the home of W.T. "Ho**er" Vandergriff Chevrolet. It is appropriately recognized as a City of Arlington Local Landmark.
