Featured Artist Post🧑‍🎨 Meet Greg Vaeth.👋🏽

Greg () has lived on a small farm in Haywood County with his lovely wife, Danielle, for nearly 20 years. He works primarily in watercolor and pen/ink, with occasional acrylic, out of a home studio. His subject matter is rooted in the outdoors and Appalachian culture and history. Think: bears, Cherokee, cowboys, and the rugged, beautiful landscape.

Greg’s work is on view at locations throughout Western North Carolina and has been collected across the US, Europe, and Japan, with select pieces available in limited print runs. He takes commissions, teaches watercolor locally one to three times a year, and brings a sharp design eye to everything he makes. Greg holds an Illustration/Graphic Arts degree from Syracuse University and spent years in the t-shirt world, work that continues today through design and production for local businesses.

Fun Fact: Greg also owns and operates NCLINE Adventures where he leads guided adventures around western North Carolina.

Art Market and skate park fundraiser for put on by The Asheville Skate Foundation non profit is happening June 21st. We are helping organize and pull in artists to sell work that day. This market is free to attended to all artists. This will be the foundation complexes first event back where artist will be able to sell work on location. If you are an artist/craft/vintage vendor of any kind and want to sell during the event please shoot AFAP a message and we will add you to the list. The event is 12-4pm there will be food for sale, music and skateboard best trick contest. Thank you!

Hey everyone, We’re safe, and so is our print studio. Like you, we’re heartbroken by the damage caused by the hurricane. These photos, taken by Spencer (.art) at the , show the long road ahead, but we mountain folk are strong and resilient. Let’s stay hopeful—we’ll rebuild together! We know many of you have lost original pieces of art, prints, art supplies, and even your studios. Please know we’re here for you during this difficult time, and we’re sending prayers for healing through your creative process. Matt Perusi is the owner of Perusi Art and tattoo artist at Skeleton Crew Tattoo Company in Waynesville, NC. Inspired by doodling skulls in school, Matt pursued his passion at the Savannah College of Art and Design, earning a BFA in illustration. Now, he’s your friendly neighborhood tattoo artist, blending dark and twisted with humor.

Matt believes tattoos should express individual personality, prioritizing the creation of a unique masterpiece that tells your story.

For Matt, tattooing is not just about the art but also the experience. Step into his studio, and it’s like hanging out with an old friend. Meet Asheville-based artist, Ashley Ozmint (.art ), known for her oil landscape paintings and fine art prints that celebrate untouched land and views that shape a more thoughtful human experience.

Currently based in downtown Asheville, Ashley works from her home studio, immersed in the mountain landscapes that surround. She takes notes from the Impressionist and Tonalist movements seeking to capture emotional reactions from the landscape rather than realistic renderings.

New Product Alert!‼️ 🚨 ‼️

Ever since we started in 2014 clients have been inquiring about the potential for recycled or more sustainable fine art papers. I have come to the conclusion that Hahnemuhle’s Bamboo Fibre paper is about as close as we can get. This natural OBA free paper is made of 90% Bamboo Fibre and 10% cotton. “This cellulose requires minimal maintenance, grows quickly, doesn’t need any pesticides, and also uses much less water.” Of the papers in the Natural Line by Hahnemuhle the Bamboo is constructed of a higher percentage of sustainable raw materials then the others making it our new go to for a natural option. The paper is a natural white, soft, lightly textured matte finish.
