After three inspiring years in the heart of downtown Asheville, Gallery Mélange will officially close its doors on June 6, 2026.

The owners have made the decision not to renew the gallery’s lease and will instead focus their attention on their individual primary gallery locations within Asheville’s vibrant River Arts District.

Since opening, Gallery Mélange has been a place of creativity, collaboration, and connection, bringing together artists, collectors, and visitors through thoughtfully curated exhibitions and shared artistic vision. Over the past three years, the gallery has been deeply grateful for the friendships formed, the support of the community, and the many wonderful clients who made this chapter so meaningful.

Although Gallery Mélange is closing, the artists who shaped the gallery will continue their work throughout Asheville and beyond. To learn more and continue following their work, please visit:

The weather in Western North Carolina has always had a mind of its own. You can have storms ahead of you while the sun lingers in the rearview mirror.

Somehow, this new piece by Victoria Pinney captures that exact feeling. Soft layers of earthy neutrals and smoky grays move across the surface with flashes of blue breaking through like sudden openings in the clouds.

There’s something quiet about this one, but also restless in the best way.

You’ll find yourself slowing down in front of “Quiet Clarity”. There’s something so powerful about the contrast between the darkness pressing and the softness of her posture. She’s anchored in calmness with her presence without any noise. A gentle decision to stay, to breathe, simply exist.
