Ashland Art Center

Ashland Art Center Non-profit community arts organization. Life Needs Art!

Ashland Art Center is a visual arts organization that serves Southern Oregon citizens with art education, art exhibitions and art services. The center’s focus on artist support, arts education and artistic collaboration fills many specific needs within our community both locally and regionally. We house a two co-op galleries with art by local artists, 20 open artist studios, a Clay Studio, Printma

king Studio, and an art supply store. This innovative non-profit is a hub for artists to create, interact and teach; and, for the community and visitors to enjoy the fruits of artistic expression. Be sure you have ample time to browse all three floors of our historic building and experience first hand the philosophy that makes Ashland Art Center extraordinary…. We are deeply saddened to announce that Ashland Art Center is closing our doors at 357 E. Main Street. However, as a non-profit organization we will continue, entering into a voluntary state of dormancy. During this period, we will be restructuring the organization to find new and creative ways to support artists and present artwork to the community. We hope to have your continued support and that you will directly support our local artists during this crisis and beyond. For additional details, please read our recent blog post below.

Strength, from gallery and studio artist Denise Kester’s Art Lifts Newsletter:
Strong Heart
It is the fragile life force
of the small things that matter.
This is the life force that holds our world together.
It takes a strong heart to rebuild, reseed, and replant.
One tree at a time.
One seed at a time.
One vision at a time.
It takes vigilance to know what is being lost, what is already gone, that we never knew.
It takes a strong heart to fight for these things.
