Join us in welcoming Mae Marvelle Leroux on Artwalk this Saturday from 5-8pm.

Mae Marvelle Leroux (she/they) is a q***r, neurodivergent artist from Portland. She draws inspiration from the universe, nature, music, memories, and raw emotion.

Mae’s artwork often serves as an outlet for processing trauma and emotions, particularly through collage work. Strong messages and deep emotions are communicated through a deconstructed interpretation of experiences.

Mae lives with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), a condition that can develop as a result of severe and chronic childhood trauma. They create artwork alongside their alters as a way to communicate, share experiences, and process the trauma they carry.

Art Room at the Library is happening all summer!! Join us this Saturday for Junk Journals with Ms Keri and the Art Room team! Kids love making these personalized journals with a variety of surprising materials. These can be functional or just for fun. You decide!

The new Art Lab workshop series is drop in and free! Families welcome! Create right alongside your kids! Hope to see you there!

This event was the first chance to utilize the buy-it-now option to purchase 8X8s and many pieces did find forever homes. But there are still over 100 more! OPENING TODAY! Join us from 5-8pm today for the opening of The 8X8 Show - 8X8: Bring a Date! Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online at astoriavisualarts.org/8x8-2026 or at the door. Enjoy music by The Beat Greens, art projects with Art Room and light fare and beverages. This is the first chance to buy-it-now for 8X8 silent auction artwork, and dang, the work is so good!!!
