This week! Thursday June 4, 2026 at 6pm ~ Artist Talk with anaplastologist Chelsea Lillo of SURFACE TENSION

Lillo’s work, grounded in her medical practice, involves creating custom prosthetics that restore both form and function. Her incredibly lifelike sculptures do more than replicate anatomy—they help individuals reclaim confidence, visibility, and a sense of belonging.

On view NOW at the Lyndon House Arts Center:

SURFACE TENSION- an exhibition that brings together two makers whose practices, while rooted in very different disciplines, meet in powerful and unexpected ways.

Textile artist Erika Diamond and board-certified anaplastologist Chelsea Lillo both work with their hands—through sewing, weaving, sculpting, and meticulous precision—to explore ideas of protection, identity, and the fragility of the human body.

Together, these artists invite us to consider how care, craft, and visibility shape our understanding of the body—its resilience, its needs, and its capacity for renewal.

We hope you’ll join us this Thursday, June 4, 2026 for a Lyndon House gallery talk with Chelsea Lillo.

This vest is tailor-made to fit and protect Lisa, long-time friend and renowned clinical psychologist for gender-diverse youth. She’s a total rock star who saves lives regularly. A true inspiration to me, Lisa describes her style as “drag queen in disguise as fierce cowboy”. Lisa identifies most with the owl – solitary, nocturnal, always looks pi**ed off.

~ ERIKA DIAMOND, Artist
Surface Tension, now on view through June 27, 2026 in the Ronnie Lukasiewicz Gallery at the Lyndon House Arts Center

◆◆Last night's Music in the House Creative Drawing Event was inspirational...◆◆

Musician Jimee Stoune is rendered in other mediums (graphite, charcoal, colored pencil) by artists attending the concert.

Look out for our next Music in the House concert in August! Admission is FREE.

Music in the House is a quarterly series that brings together live local music and open creative expression at the Lyndon House Arts Center.
Set in the Lower Atrium, this program invites community members of all ages to gather, draw from life, write, or simply listen and enjoy the music. Each session features a local musician performing original work in an informal, welcoming environment, with easels and writing tables available for those who want to create as they listen.
We provide the easels and drawing horses—you bring your sketchbook, journal, or simply your curiosity. Whether you’re sketching, writing, or just soaking in the sound, Music in the House is a space for connection, inspiration, and creativity.
This free program is made possible through the generous support of Leara Rhodes.
