I’m back in Georgia and stopped by the to see what they had in stock. They are a non-profit that mills wood from trees the city takes down. They have some beautiful pieces. I picked up this piece of live-edge walnut that is from a tree that came down in Decatur. I’ve set it up on two oily rag cans to check the perfect sitting height.

The Gee’s Bend quilting workshop has started. 4 days of quilting with China Pettway and Mary Ann Pettway. My favorite part is when they sing while they quilt.

I’m very excited to participate in a panel discussion on mid-career female letterpress business owners at the upcoming Ladies of Letterpress conference in St. Louis. We will be discussing the nitty gritty of running a shop, as well as managing the work/life balance of motherhood and entrepreneurship- topics I feel very passionately about. I’ll also be teaching a workshop on longstitch binding all day on Saturday. The conference is right around the corner (October 4-7) and it’s always a wonderful time. Consider joining us!
