Today we open MENDING: Celia Pym in the Trisolini gallery.

On View: 19th October – 6th November 2026

MENDING is an interactive exhibition that invites the Ohio University community to bring their clothes and spend time with repair.

Visitors can meet a mender who will talk with them about possibilities for repair. Together, they can consider what might be repaired, how, and whether the repair should be done by the visitor or by the mender.

At the heart of the exhibition are questions of care, repair, and exchange. What does it feel like to have your clothes mended by someone else? How and when do we notice damage?

Where do holes appear in our clothes, and are there patterns in the ways our garments wear and tear? What can mending look like—invisible or visible, discreet or bold?

M-F 12-5, and Thurs 12-8pm.
