To our beloved supporters,
We have a bittersweet announcement to share. I wish that I could tell you each personally because you all have meant so much to me for so many years.
At the end of December, after 62 years, the gallery will close our brick and mortar location.
Making this decision and deciding when to tell our beloved artists and customers has not been easy. Our lease is up and based on many things, I have decided not to renew. There have been changes in my personal life - all good - and changes in the in the gallery business as a whole that have contributed to my decision.
Our doors will be open and we will continue to show the work in the gallery through Saturday, December 21st. After that day, this current chapter must come to a close.
Beginning on Saturday, October 12th, we will begin reducing prices on most of our inventory. We want to sell as much as possible for our wonderful artists and this will alleviate the cost of shipping work back to them.
The sale prices will be deductions from the gallery’s commission. Rest assured, artists will continue to receive their full price until all work is gone or returned.
It is difficult for me to express how much your support over the years has meant to me. Working with you and our artists and the two of you through art has been a joy and an honor. Our artists have filled our space and my life with beauty and friendship. Our customers have become dear friends and have helped to get the beauty of handmade work out into the world. I am so grateful for this community that has allowed me to have the best “job” I could have ever imagined with the best people. You all have a special place in my heart and I will miss that connection with you all.
