CALLING ALL ARTIST 📣📣
We’re pleased to announce that Hammonds House Museum will once again participate in the West End Tour of Homes, Gardens & Art Stroll on June 13, 2026—a beloved annual tradition we’ve proudly supported for the past decade.
This self-guided experience celebrates the architectural beauty and cultural legacy of Atlanta’s historic West End, inviting guests to explore preserved homes, vibrant gardens, and curated art activations throughout the neighborhood. With an anticipated 200–300 attendees, the tour offers an intimate opportunity to engage with local artists, historians, and residents while honoring the West End’s enduring role as a center of African American culture, creativity, and resilience.
This year, we are especially excited to host the Art Stroll Experience in the John Roden Sculpture Garden for the first time, featuring artists from across Atlanta.
We’re currently seeking artists to join us.
This is an opportunity to:
• Present your work in a historic West End setting
• Connect with an engaged and diverse audience
• Participate in a thoughtfully curated cultural experience
Artist opportunities include:

• Art installations within select homes

This powerful exhibition draws from three distinct series that celebrate music as inspiration, emotional refuge, and a marker of life’s most meaningful moments. At its core are McCall’s music-themed collages—meticulously handcrafted using personal archival photos, papers, and imagery from his signature button-embellished works, then transformed into luminous metal prints.
Featuring selections from Diva Worship and REWIND: MEMORIES ON REPEAT, the exhibition honors iconic and underrepresented divas of all gender identities whose music shaped, empowered, and sustained McCall—especially during his coming-of-age in the 1970s LGBTQ+ community.
