The Historic Westside Cultural Arts Council is a non-profit, charitable organization with a 501-c-3 designation with the IRS. What this means is that everyone involved is volunteering their time and effort out of true love and belief in the mission and what the organization stands for. The HWCAC mission is to promote native and local arts and culture from within the Historic Westside neighborhoods

of Atlanta, through mentoring, training, and nurturing both individuals and organizations that will sponsor artistic and cultural events and programs in the community. The Historic Westside Cultural Arts Council will promote positive, fun, and educational community-building events such as music festivals, artistic exhibitions, community festivals, poetry readings, culinary exhibitions, and more; all of which represent and celebrate the diversity of the Historic Westside neighborhoods of Atlanta.

The Historic Westside Cultural Arts Council of Neighborhood Planning Unit- L warmly welcomes you to our 10th annual Black History Celebration.

The program is being held on Thursday, February 28th, 2019 at Booker T. Washington High School from 6:00 p.m - 8:00 p.m. Please see flyer for more details! We hope to see you all there as we “Live The Legacy” on the Historic Westside!
