Wanna take a moment to shout out my sister Sarita who is a low-key face for Chican@ advocacy in Denver. She and my other sisters and have been featured in photographs by amazing Denver artists such as and and it seems our (Chican@s) moment has finally come in Denver and it’s beautiful to witness. Fight will continue but I do remember the days in Denver when it was impossible to get a mainstream audience. Sarita doesn’t have social media but it’s her face and the documented faces of other Chican@s in Denver that deserve all the recognition they can get. Photo by Manuel Aragon.
