In business 10 + years, this beloved space is home to great art, weekly live performance and much more! CURRENTLY BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. PLEASE SEE WEBSITE. Cloud Tree is the realization of a long held dream of artist Brian David Johnson. Along with the help of his sister Laura Johnson, in the beginning of 2016 Brian remodeled the building, re-located his workshop of 13 years and established the gal

lery space with lofted studios above. The namesake for the space is the canopy of a tree that floats out over east 5th nearby, long admired by Brian and dubbed the cloud tree. The space aspires to be a special location and warm gathering place to not only showcase great work, but provide an affordable venue for openings, gatherings and other celebrations. In addition to hosting many events throughout the year, every November Cloud Tree is a vibrant part of the annual East Austin Studio Tour hosting multiple artists.

The Summer Salon returns for year number 4!

Calling artists of any experience and mediums.

APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN AND LINKED IN OUR BIO!

If you have great art that deserves to be in a gallery, but aren’t sure where to start or how to get it there, this is the show for you. The Summer Salon was created to bridge the gap between emerging artists and the vast world of art in Austin.

NEW THIS YEAR:
We are going to host artist talks between the two sessions. These talks will be covering common questions beginners might have about framing, choosing color, setting prices, and more. Stay tuned for more info.

We look forward to reviewing your applications and learning more about the up and coming talent in Austin.

Thank you to everyone who came out for opening night last Saturday! Lee Barber is a creative powerhouse and we are so honored to be displaying his work for a 3rd time at Cloud Tree.

If you missed the opening, come out tomorrow for a night viewing starting at 6:00pm. Then at 7:30, we’ll have live music by Lee Barber, Alex Coke, Elaine Barber and Jon Greene!

A $10-$20 suggested donation will be accepted at the door for the music portion of the night. All donations go to performing artists.

Can’t wait to see you there!

Temple of Memory is a tribute to the 100 years of life Mimi’s mother lived. A strong feminine essence has been felt throughout the gallery since these pieces have touched our walls. As you enter the space you’ll smell the incense, hear the tranquil sounds created by the artist’s son, and feel the texture and grace of every piece. A truly immersive experience.

Gallery viewing hours: Tuesday - Saturday, 12:00 to 5:00 pm
