New Artifact Received - WWII K98k Bayonet Donation

We are honored to announce the newest addition to the ISAA Library's collection: a WWII-era German K98k bayonet, manufactured by Jetter & Scheerer (J. Sch.) and numbered 2490, complete with its matching scabbard and original leather frog.

This artifact represents an important chapter in 20th-century military history and provides critical insight into the arms manufacturing of wartime Germany. We are deeply grateful to the anonymous donor whose generosity allows us to preserve and study this exceptional piece of the past.

Now undergoing cataloging and archival preparation, the bayonet will soon be available for researchers and historians as part of our growing WWII small arms collection.

Thank you for your continued support as we build the most comprehensive archive of arms and armor in the world.

New Arrival at the ISAA Library!

We are honored to announce the donation of a WWII-era FB Radom Pistolet wz. 35 Vis, Type 2, known to the Germans as the 9mm Pistole 35(p). This remarkable piece of wartime history was one of the finest sidearms of its time and was issued to the German Armed Forces following Poland’s occupation.

This Type 2 variant, produced under German control, is a reminder of both the technical excellence by the Polish and turbulent history of the WWII era. Having it in our collection brings us closer to preserving and telling that story.

Our heartfelt thanks go to the anonymous donor whose generosity made this possible. This is a truly grand gesture and one we are proud to steward for future generations.

An Extraordinary Addition to the Archive

We’re honored to share that the ISAA Library has received an incredibly rare artifact, an original transit case for a component of the WWII German FG 1250 night vision device.

This remarkable piece of history is believed to be one of the only known surviving examples of its kind. The FG 1250 was a pioneering step in infrared optics and night fighting technology, decades ahead of its time.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the anonymous donor for this extraordinary and generous contribution. Your gift helps us preserve rare technology that changed the nature of modern warfare and ensures it will be studied and appreciated by generations to come.

Thank you for being part of our mission.

📚🛡️ A Legacy Preserved – Honoring a Generous Gift 🛡️📚

We are honored to share that the ISAA Library has received a remarkable donation from the estate of the late Henry Hebert, whose legacy as a fi****ms enthusiast and collector lives on through this generous gift.

The donation includes three beautifully kept shotguns:
🔹 Ithaca Model 37 Featherweight
🔹 Re*****on SP-10
🔹 Wi******er Super-X Model 1

This heartfelt contribution was made possible through one of Henry’s sons and proud ISAA Library Board Member, Brandon J. Hebert. His generosity ensures that these historically significant arms will be preserved, studied, and appreciated by future generations.

From all of us at the ISAA Library—thank you, Brandon, for this grand gesture and for helping us build a legacy of education, preservation, and public access.
