MAP'S LATEST EXHIBITION: TWO DAYS, IS ON VIEW!

Two Days is an exhibition conceived around two cities, Baltimore and New York. In 1901, the Baltimore Orioles were sold to New York and became the New York Highlanders. In 1913 they were renamed the Yankees. The two cities are linked together through America’s favorite pastime. Two Days celebrates the East Coast and the ever-evolving relationship between Baltimore and New York.

This exhibition is on view between May 14 - June 20th, You can stop by anytime between Tuesday - Saturday, from noon to 4 pm, we can't wait to see you here!

Come see TWO DAYS curated by the artists Jim Condron and Glenn Goldberg at MARYLAND ART PLACE!

Exploring and bringing together artists from Baltimore and New York, The artists were selected on the uniqueness of their work and their respect for materiality and visual language. All share an interest in poetics driven by physical adventure and structural understanding. There may be similarities in some of the works but the show was not conceived with a particular aesthetic or common idea. The intention is to introduce artists with individual vision currently working in two nearby cities. Rather than being on two separate teams (Orioles and Yankees), the artists are on one team, bound by purpose and place.

The exhibition is on view at MAP between May 14 to June 20th, and we hope to see you soon!

Celebrating the connections between New York and Baltimore, artists Jim Condron and Glenn Goldberg have curated a show bringing together artists from the two cities and creating a space for their artwork to communicate their similar ideas and purposes.

This exhibition is on show at Maryland Art place, at 218 West Saratoga Street, between May 14 - June 20th.

TWO DAYS is on show at MAP!

Two Days is an exhibition conceived around two cities, Baltimore and New York. In 1901, the Baltimore Orioles were sold to New York and became the New York Highlanders. In 1913 they were renamed the Yankees. The two cities are linked together through America’s favorite pastime. Two Days celebrates the East Coast and the ever-evolving relationship between Baltimore and New York.

The artists included have substantial relationships with both Baltimore and New York. The relationships include place of residence (past or present), family, education, teaching and exhibiting. The artists were selected on the uniqueness of their work and their respect for materiality and visual language. All share an interest in poetics driven by physical adventure and structural understanding. There may be similarities in some of the works but the show was not conceived with a particular aesthetic or common idea. The intention is to introduce artists with individual vision currently working in two nearby cities. Rather than being on two separate teams (Orioles and Yankees), the artists are on one team, bound by purpose and place.

Come to MAP to see our latest show, featuring a group of artists from Baltimore and New York, teaming up to share their ideas and artworks, culminating in a completely unique exhibition!

TWO DAYS is on view here at MAP between May 14 - June 20, The intention is to introduce artists with individual vision currently working in two nearby cities. Rather than being on two separate teams the artists are on one team, bound by purpose and place.

The exhibition is curated by the artists Jim Condron and Glenn Goldberg. Jim lives and works in Baltimore and New York and Glenn is a lifelong New Yorker. Both have exhibited and taught in the Baltimore and New York areas.
