Museum sleuths - question for you. We recently received a donation of old p*e wee football and cheerleader uniforms. I know they were used at least in the mid-early 1980s. If you wore them, can you drop us a date? Curious to the entire time frame. And it appears some of the cheerleaders uniforms were homemade so bonus points if you know the mom who made them. Thanks!!

We’ve had some beautiful family pictures donated this past year and I finally had a chance to get them up on the wall today. Our cozy little Victorian living room now has many new family members.

Market Street, Baltimore, Ohio and guess what? They were the very first local business to sign up for this year’s festivities! 💚❤️ Be sure to like and follow our page to find out who else is on the nice list of Open Houses.

Elf tip 🧣this is the perfect spot to warm up before the Hometown Holiday Lighted Parade and catch the start of the magic right on Market Street! 🎅🎶

I can’t wait to see which delicious treats Julia bakes up from the Museum’s vintage cookbooks — and if Rose Crutcher’s famous iced sugar cookies make the list again, Santa’s sweet tooth will be jingling with joy! 😉✨

And don’t forget to pick up your Holiday Punch Card while you’re there. Then visit the other local open houses, get your card punched, and you might just win a sparkly holiday surprise! 🎁✨

Always enjoy helping others with their family ties to the community. We were lucky enough to have Joel H. Hansberger's family Bible on display and tucked inside was a small scrap of paper documenting Henry Hansberger's birth back to 1781 and on the other side his children starting in 1804! Written in old German script, it took a while to translate, but happy to share with the Hansberger family and added to our family history files here in the museum. What a treasure!
