Have you picked which name you like best for our Linotype? One day left before the poll closes!

Next month, the Linotype that has been a staple in our museum’s print shop will be turning 90 and we want to celebrate 🎉 and what better way to celebrate than to throw a birthday party and give it a name!

For over two years, the Baltimore Museum of Industry has been thoughtfully documenting the story of the Key Bridge, mobilizing immediately after the 2024 collapse to catalog the immeasurable impact of the catastrophe. Hundreds of hours of interviews, research, and artifact collection revealed a story of deep roots, grit, and resilience.

On March 28, we opened the first exhibit of the Echoes from the Key Bridge project, “Key Bridge: Building a Baltimore Landmark.” A true community celebration, the opening featured inspiring words from elected officials, musical performances that reflect the diversity of our city, and emotional recollections about the workers, the bridge and its impact.

Your donation to this museum is a powerful statement that work matters. You make it possible for us to invite the community into reflection, remembrance, and celebration.
