Extremely pleased to have as a highlighted artist for Carlton Gallery’s Spring Group Exhibition, “Contemporary Abstract Art - Exploring Individual Perceptions”
The exhibition will run through May 30 - July 15, with the Opening Reception held this Saturday, May 30th, 2:00 to 5:00pm.
Mary-Ann states on her website, “I am a painter and sculptor mostly known for my abstract, colorful clay sculpture inspired by the human figure. My interpretation of the human experience on physical, emotional and spiritual level is revealed in each of the sculptures I create. I am fascinated by the concept of turning raw clay, abstract symbols and shapes into works that convey human qualities and prompt human connections. My sculptures are described as classic modern; the shapes are elegant and organic with contrasting geometric patterned surfaces of primarily colorful glazes and incised lines.”
