AmArthouse

AmArthouse Owned and curated by Artur Matuszewski. Featuring collections of contemporary artists For additional information, please email [email protected]

amArtHouse was founded out of an appreciation of the already established, emerging, and the yet to be discovered artists of Contemporary and Modern Art. Artur Matuszewski, owner and curator of the gallery, brings over 25 years experience in the Arts/Antiques industry, a working knowledge of the creation and conservation of various mediums of art, and an enthusiasm for the dialogue created by the g

athering of people, generated by the art. Originally from Milanówek, Poland, Artur spent his younger days amongst the working artists in his family. With a love of art instilled in him, he emigrated to the United States to pursue his education in Fine Arts and Art Restoration/Conservation at F.I.T in Manhattan. After graduating, Artur opened his own Restoration/Faux Finishing Studio in Midtown Manhattan, dedicated to working with Interior Design Firms, Museums, Auction Houses and private clients. After several years of success in NY City, he expanded the scope of his business to include projects in Europe, based out of Paris, France. For the past 16 years, Artur has been living and working abroad as well as in the U.S., as a Curator and Art Conservator. He is an active participant in International Art Shows, including La Biennale Paris, Masterpiece London and Brafa Art Fair Belgium. In 2021, after years of detailed restoration of a colonial building originally constructed in 1777, Artur founded amArtHouse in Bantam, CT. This new gallery is not only a destination for art and culture, but also the epicenter of Artur's wide range of artistic ventures including exhibitions, art advising/consulting, and on-site curation for any space that needs an expert touch.
