George B. Dorr Museum of Natural History The George B. Dorr Museum at College of the Atlantic Dorr Museum of Natural History investigates, interprets and displays the natural world of Maine.

All exhibits are designed and produced by students at College of the Atlantic. The Museum is housed in the original headquarters of Acadia National Park, renovated and expanded to provide a unique site for exhibits, programs, and activities. The gift shop offers a wonderful selection of books, gifts, toys and jewelry for children and adults related to the natural sciences. The Dorr Museum features

dioramas of coastal Maine wildlife and a tide pool tank that houses a variety of live sea stars, hermit crabs, snails and other marine creatures for visitors to touch and observe. Our exhibits showcase student work and are fun and educational for all ages.

Thank you to everyone who visited us this summer! From Sept 4-19 we will be open by chance only as we prepare for the beginning of the academic year and get our new student staff trained. Our regular fall hours will resume on September 20th and run through November 18th.
