We recently hosted a Kentucky Derby Tea Party and have included some photographs from the event. For those who missed the Derby party, we will be hosting a Rose tea party on June 20 at 11:30, and reservations are still available for anyone interested in attending. Musical entertainment for the party will be provided by Enrico Amato. There will also be a style show of vintage gowns. Reservations can be made by calling 740-310-7093 or 740-425-2926.

The cost to join starts at just $15 per year.

We would like to thank Mrs. Lacy Gallagher and Mrs. Amanda Eddy for organizing a community service day for Barnesville Middle School students. The girls worked at various tasks, including polishing silver, dusting, sweeping and taking an inventory of our gift shop. The boys assisted with spreading mulch, cleaning the basement, and helped with yard work. We appreciate their hard work and we want to thank them for spending the morning here at the mansion.

We're now taking reservations for our Rose Tea on June 20th at 11:30 AM. Featured during the tea will be period wedding attire from our textile collection.

Tickets are $25 for Belmont County Historical Society members, or $30 for non-members. Reservation information can be found on our website.

Speaking of which, did you know Belmont County is the only county in Ohio with THREE scenic byways? 🛣️

Travel along the routes to discover a captivating blend of natural beauty and rich history. ⬇️

🛣️ The National Road- travel along "The Main Street of America" and discover Ohio history at the Belmont County Heritage Museum, view the Blaine S Bridge, which was a feature on the original National Road, and take a glimpse into early education at the Great Western Schoolhouse in St. Clairsville.

🛣️ Ohio River Scenic Byway- enjoy stunning riverfront views as you cruise through historic river towns, such as Martins Ferry and Powhatan Point. In Powhatan, make a stop at the Powhatan Point Marina for a scenic place for boating and fishing, and when you're hungry, grab a bite along the river at Riverside Restaurant & Bar.

🛣️ Drovers' Trail- this byway runs from Bellaire to Barnesville and connects the National Road to the Ohio River Scenic Byway. Along this route, visit Bellaire attractions such as the Great Stone Viaduct and the National Imperial Glass Museum, and have some fun in Barnesville at Dickinson Cattle Co and the Belmont County Victorian Mansion Museum.
