Ann Korologos Gallery The premier gallery for contemporary Western art. 40 local and nationally acclaimed painters, sculpto

For more than 20 years, the Ann Korologos Gallery has specialized in Western art and artists influenced by the West. We understand that the West is as varied as its breathtaking landscapes, and so is its art. That’s why we seek out artists working in all media and from all parts of the US. Our inventory includes nationally celebrated painters Dean Mitchell and Sarah Lamb, as well as sculpture and

ceramics by Gordon Gund, Lloyd Schermer and Michael Wisner. We offer paintings by Dinah Worman and Andy Taylor, photographs by Tom Korologos and Kathryn Rabinow, and etchings by Joel Ostlind. We are especially proud to present a full complement of styles and subject matter. Owner Ann Korologos has created a warm and inviting space that has become a center of arts and culture in the Roaring Fork Valley and beyond. Discover for yourself why people are saying, “The best gallery in Aspen…is in Basalt!”

Peter Campbell shares insight into painting without agenda, the elusive state of mind necessary for meaningful work, and the challenge of capturing not just what a winter landscape looks like, but how its light truly feels — an approach that resonates deeply within the spirit of "Gathering Light," on view at Ann Korologos Gallery through January 29.

"The concept of 'Gathering Light' is very apt for a painter," shares Peter Campbell in our most recent artist chat. "It is the basis of what we do in the sense that we collect light and replicate it on canvas."

For Sean Wallis, light is both a visual language and an emotional anchor. Wallis is a featured artist in "Gathering Light." Here, Wallis shares how light guides his process, how memory and place inform his mountain scenes and how even in the depths of winter, moments of warmth continue to surface—both on the canvas and within the heart. - https://mailchi.mp/korologosgallery.com/gathering-light-sean-wallis

Light of the Longest Night | Artists tell us that in this time, the low angle of the sun provides magnificent shadows and unique color palettes that change dramatically throughout the day and night, the snow any color but white. With the Winter Solstice tomorrow marking the shortest day and longest night, take an extra moment to see what you notice in the light and in these new works. - https://mailchi.mp/korologosgallery.com/solstice-light
