A big thank you to , and all the sponsors of Sunday in the Park!

It was a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon, and Phat Hat was phenomenal!

Getting to set up at Highland Road Park made the day extra special. This park holds so many good memories, and it’s been the inspiration for more than a few paintings.

Seeing my art here, in a place that means so much to me, brought on a little emotional moment. ❤️

A little cooler weather makes me happy for lots of reasons. Boots, jackets, sweaters… but you know what might be my favorite?

Want to know something I’m NOT good at?

Documenting.

I have no problem sharing my process—I just usually remember to take the photos and video after I’m finished. 😂

I’m working on getting better at capturing more of what happens behind the scenes, so please be patient with me!

Here’s a little of the story behind “Piece of My Heart”—including how it got its name and how it came to life.

Nature gives me so much. Time spent immersed in it energizes and restores me, and that energy finds its way onto my canvas through intuitive movement, texture, layers, and a little bit of impulse.

I literally leave a piece of my heart on the canvas as a way of passing that gift along.

My hope is that when you look at this painting, you feel some of the beauty, energy, and wonder I experience in the natural world.

And yes…those soft white blooms against the greens, blacks, and pale blues were all part of the process of getting there.

Some art sales are exciting. Some are extra special. ❤️

This was one of those.

“No Boundaries” and “Singing My Song” have officially found their new home with a very special collector in Georgia.

She acquired her first It’s a Lori painting six months before I ever decided to turn my art into a business. I didn’t know it then, but that purchase became a pivotal moment in my journey as an artist.

So when she reached out to acquire these two pieces, I was thrilled—not just because it was a sale, but because of where they were going and who they were going to.
