Art alumnus,
I am trying to put together an alumni art exhibit for fall of 2016 in the high school art gallery. We just received some funds from SEA-BBS to upgrade the gallery. I am going to be putting up a new system to hang artwork, reprinting the walls, completely renovating the display windows, and many other small improvements. We even have a MakerBot 3D printer that will be in the smaller window to demonstrate new technologies.
Let me know if you are interested in displaying your work in the fall. Ask any BBPHS graduates that are creating art who might not be aware of this page to like it and send me a message. I'm hoping to put on an amazing show of your work and let the community know that art is important and many former students are active artists.

Hey Kiddies,
I want to announce that I will be showing four of my sculptures in an art show at the South Huntington Public Library. The show is called "Metal Works with Spirit: a tribute to Johnny Phillips 3-D Spirited World. The opening reception is June Thursday, June 25 from 6:30-8:30 pm. the show closes September 1. It's the first time i've exhibited work in a very long time and I'm excited to be invited into this group show sponsored by Long Island Professional Sculptors and Supporters. If you are around and want to see some great steel sculptures-the others sculptors in the show have some amazing pieces-come on down.

Anka Jurena was this years art alumni award recipient. A display of some of her work is in the student art gallery for the summer and September. If you are around stop in and see her work and work from all of our classes.

Really want to get another alumni show up and running next fall. Hoping for a mid November through January show. If you would like to participate (bring in some work to show) let me know through here or email me at fasalino@ mac.com.

Hey all you alumni in the arts, SEA-BBS art auction went well ...could have had more people, but the artwork donated was amazing and the monies collected went to two great causes. Students scholarships and the kiln fund.

Special thanks to all who gave so generously and start thinking about what you might want to donate for next year, and save your pennies so you can come and bid on great art.

Art alumni, SEA-BBS is having its second annual art auction for scholarships and to help the kiln fund. If you have any art you would consider donating and / or want to attend, it is at Blackbirds on January 24th at 7:00pm. Come on down for a great cause and to donate or purchase some cool artwork . I am going to have a few things there at the auction...come on down. Contact SEA-BBS to find out more and make donations or just drop the stuff off with me at Bayport/ Blue Point High School.

Alumna , need your Artwork for fall alumni show at BBPHS gallery, also could use some to auction at SEA-BBS silent auction to fund scholarships and kiln fund( need to replace 40 year old kilns fast- only one working and it's in bad shape ).

Alumni, get your artwork ready for the alumni show at Bayport/ Blue Point HS in October. We would live to exhibit alumni work in the art gallery for a few weeks in the fall. Also get work ready to be auctioned off at the SEA-BBS auction. That will be in the fall too. All proceeds will go toward student scholarships.

this is an interview with current senior Danielle Heyder from Long Island's Best at the Hechscher Museum of Art in Huntington form a few weeks back. She will be attending Alfred Unversity majoring in Ceramics and Art Education.

Hey Art Alumnus , I don't think we will be getting a Alumni Art show up and running this school year-just ran out of time to get it put together the right way. But rest assured we will have one next Fall. The SEA-BBS Art auction and the Alumni Art show will probably be scheduled around the same time. So make some work to auction for SEA-BBS scholarships and get some ready for the Exhibit at the High School.

I also would like to try and start a webpage/or page/or both to show your work online and have contact info so folks can get in touch for possible sales and or other good stuff. Let me know what you think and encourage all Bayport/Blue Point HS alumni who work in the arts to like this page so I can build an information loop to get you all work and recognition for being creative, amazing people.

Great to see all the alumni artwork at the SEA-BBS auction last week. I had a great time and purchased an awesome photo. Even got in a bidding war to make sure I got it. Kim Winkler is becoming an amazing photographer. Check out her stuff. Hire her.

Next event is the alumni show at bbp hs. Would love to have a show that runs from late Dec through Jan.

All art lovin alumnus are encouraged to contact me and display your stuff. We will have an evening reception early in the new year so the college crowds can attend .
