🦸‍♀️ Happy 94th Birthday to one of our real-life superheroes, Erika Gold! 🎉

Erika has been a steadfast Maltz Museum volunteer since we opened our doors 20 years ago, generously giving her time at least once a week to support our Museum and welcome our visitors.

Today, Erika helps in the Museum Store and shares her powerful story as a child survivor of the Holocaust with student groups, helping a new generation understand the importance of remembrance, courage, and standing up against hate.

Erika, we are so grateful for all you have given—and continue to give—to the Maltz Museum and our community. Please join us in wishing our super volunteer a very happy 94th birthday! ❤️🎂

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Family Funday: Superhero Sunday – Part 2! From dreaming up superhero names and powers during our interactive improv adventure to creating original comic books with talented comic book artists and writers, the Museum was filled with creativity, imagination, and plenty of heroic fun.

Families also explored Icons in Ink: The Jewish Comics Experience, discovered the stories behind some of the world's most iconic superheroes, and made memories together that will last long after the capes came off.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible partners—Wandering Aesthetics, Len Peralta, Noory Noire, and Dawn Arrington of Comics at the Corner—for sharing your creativity and helping inspire the next generation of storytellers and superheroes. Also, a big thank you to Jewish Cleveland's YLD for leading a meaningful activity packing school supplies for Bellefaire JCB.

Be sure to experience "Icons in Ink" before it leaves on August 23! The Maltz Museum is open Tuesday, Thursday–Sunday, 11 a.m.–5 p.m., and Wednesday, 11 a.m.–9 p.m. Plan your visit before it’s gone!
