It’s official and I can finally share 📺

Slow progress on this surrealist painting but progress nonetheless 🌊 By far the most challenging yet. Once this layer dries, I’ll add more shadow behind the leaves, then the tiny Peggy Martin roses then I *think* she’ll be finished.

Most are study paintings so they’re super affordable compared to my fine art pieces 🫶🏼 Set an alarm; studies go super quick.

Lovely friends, we’re honored you keep voting for Amidst the Alders (this is the 2nd year we’ve been nominated for 2-3 awards of “Lowcountry’s Best”) however, there are local businesses who are far more deserving, seeing as we closed down the retail shop in June of 2024 ❤️

It is so appreciated (and makes me realize the lasting effect we had on Beaufort!) but please don’t waste your vote on us, and please spend it on another small business to help them out.

Not my usual but a fun and challenging painting. Still need to add the roses (Peggy Martin Roses) and fine tune many things, but liking the direction thus far.

Close-up of a large new painting just finished up. I haven’t come up with a title yet, as it’s a memorial piece painted for a sweet friend who passed from cancer recently. Titling is extra difficult when the name must carry so much weight.
I didn’t get to tell her I was starting a painting for her before she passed.
I hope she would like it❤️‍🩹
