Donation locations to assist Western North Carolina with Helene recovery
This post last updated Sunday morning. I need y'alls help to update this when collection sites close.
Tractor Supply, Morehead City
Accepting donations. Operated by Chuck Cahoon; he will be there tomorrow. Working with veteran organization AMVETS to coordinate where supplies are most needed.
34North, 77West, EClub, Fish Hut
Local business owner Paul Musco is filling his box truck to take supplies next week once it's safe. Requests hygiene products, non-perishable food, and clean-up materials such as gloves, masks, tarps, shovels, trash bags, etc.
Harris Marine / Saltwater Outfitters, Morehead City
Collecting non-perishable food and supplies. Drop off M-F 8am-5pm and Saturday 9am-2pm. Please no clothing or perishables.
Plain Janes Cleaning and Janitorial, Morehead City
Clint and Meghann McCoy are from WNC and are collecting coolers and other supplies. Donations can be dropped off at Plain Janes, the Scout Hut in Atlantic, or at their address in Davis at 112 Croaker St.
Parkview Baptist Church, Morehead City
Collecting supplies Sunday from 9 to Noon. Leaving right after service to deliver the items. Requests non-perishable food, water, propane, charcoal, lighter fluid, and gasoline.
Jack's on the Waterfront, Morehead City
Collecting cleaning supplies; encouraging people coming to see the Band of Oz Sunday to bring essential items to donate.
Piggly Wiggly, Beaufort
Accepting financial contributions and donations. Operated by Geoff Flynt; trailer will be in the parking lot for a few hours.

Sara Collins has arranged her semi truck to take supplies back out to her hometown of Boone, NC. She is requesting water, clothing, chain saws, animal supplies, baby supplies, and food. This is a refrigerated trailer. This collection started at 10 AM Sunday.
Dollar General, Harker's Island
Items for donation in lobby. Collected by employees; delivery planned by store manager Alayna Amaro. She is only able to take donations purchased from the table in the lobby.
Davis Shore Provisions, Davis
Clint McCoy has a trailer picking up supplies at the store.
Atlantic UMC, Atlantic
Collecting non-perishable supplies Sunday at 11AM to be sent to Waynesville, NC tentatively Wednesday.
Rooms Unlimited, Cedar Point
They are going to pack a truck to take to WNC if you want to help. Water is a big need.
West Carteret Water Co-Op
Beginning Monday September 30th will be a drop point for nonperishable food, toiletries and hygiene items, pet food and supplies, and cleaning supplies.
