My new Brackish Collection is live, and while the large Magnolia painting found a home immediately, there are still some great paintings remaining (if I may be so bold.)

If you’re looking for a large statement piece, now is the time! I have paintings up to 6.5ft x 4ft available. I’ll even deliver them personally, if you’re on the East Coast☺️

Hop over to my site and click on the new Brackish Collection to take a gander at, what I believe, are some of my best works to date. (Still can’t get over the nocturne in the collection… if it doesn’t sell, it’ll go on my living room wall until it does.)

The Brackish Collection launches ✨today✨

This collection is centered around the areas where salt water meets fresh, or brackish water, as it's officially called. All are real scenes from the place Kayla is lucky to call home- the Lowcountry- and revolve around the changing (sometimes uncomfortable yet necessary) seasons of life. These works focus on the wildness of the salt marsh and the flora and fauna that call it home, peaceful and unhurried.

Some of these paintings were created especially for Hickory Chair and Ray Booth for High Point Market. They will be available tonight to the public, as part of this collection.

3 works are antique-framed, 6 are custom-framed. All are size Medium to Extra Extra Large (6.5ft x 4ft!) so if you’ve been looking for a statement piece, this is your sign!🪧

A warm sunrise across a gilded marsh; I’m lucky to witness this view quite frequently. (Peep the teeny sunlit palms!)

This new painting, along with 8 others, is coming to my site tomorrow as part of my Brackish Collection. 3 are antique-framed, 6 are custom-framed.

Included in this collection will also be the large works I created for Hickory Chair showroom for High Point Market.

It was such a joy to create this peaceful morning sunrise over the marsh for RAY BOOTH DESIGN x Hickory Chair.

I’m very lucky that this beautiful scene is right near my house, in the wetlands of the SC Lowcountry.

I swear I can smell the salt air and hear the call of a Great Egret when viewing it. The closer you get, the more details arise.

This large painting, along with a few others created for High Point Market and a few antique-framed marsh scenes, will be available to the public this coming Thursday at 7pm EST. (Set an alarm!)

One of my favorite paintings of all time… if this one doesn’t sell immediately, it will hang on my wall for a bit.

“This painting feels prehistoric, but it is a real scene from my home. It is wild and untamed, and where the crossroads of sea and fresh water merge, symbolizing a crossroad of sorts for personal growth. The water here is brackish, a natural representation of an uncomfortable, yet beautiful, transition. This painting is a reminder to give yourself grace in the difficult seasons, and to seek beauty that still surrounds you. In some cases, the most beautiful memories are made in the muck.

Where I live, brackish areas are where Dwarf Palmettos not only grow, but flourish. I adore these palms, pictured in my painting, because they thrive in a high-salinity and wet environment, where most palms won’t take hold. They are resilient, and remind me to adapt and thrive in that which I cannot control.”

Available at Hickory Chair showroom at High Point Market (Hope to see you there!)

Completed & delivered my largest body of works in record time (and now, I’ll sleep for 3 days 💤) What a ride it has been to create absolutely massive paintings for Hickory Chair and Ray Booth for High Point Market. Honored to have been asked, and really truly proud of what I created based on fabric samples and mood boards. These are some of my best paintings to date, if I may be so bold.

I was a bit worried that I simply wouldn’t have time to create works that I was 100% happy with but I pushed through the doubt and can confidently say- I wouldn’t change a thing, even if I had more time. That’s all I can really ask for.

These large, custom-framed paintings will be available starting Oct 17th at High Point Market and I’ll announce when I plan to release them on my site.

Thanks for following along!

This absolutely massive painting (over 6ft x 4ft!) is my largest work to date, and will be available, along with 5 other pieces, at High Point Market Oct 17-21. This was created especially for RAY BOOTH DESIGN and Hickory Chair

My DMs have been going wild with this one. I will try to photograph it for prints, but honestly it’s so big, I don’t know if my camera lens will even capture it. I promise I’ll try though!

Thanks for loving it like I do! Excited to see it framed and hung amongst gorgeous design.
