The Fire Museum of Texas Apparatus, equipment, uniforms and photographs trace the evolution of how we fight fires from horse-drawn vehicles to today's modern engine.

The Fire Museum of Texas first opened in 1984 and has been endorsed by the State Firemen's & Fire Marshals' Association of Texas since 1986 as the official fire museum for the State of Texas. Housed in the historic 1927 Central Fire Station for the Beaumont Fire Department, the Fire Museum of Texas exhibits an extensive collection related to the history of fire departments in the state of Texas.

Objects on exhibit date back to the mid-1800s. Hands on areas include a dress up area with bunker gear, the cab to a modern engine and a Fire Safety House.

If your flag was damaged and can no longer be proudly displayed, you may bring it to the Fire Museum of Texas, located at 400 Walnut Street in Downtown Beaumont. We will ensure that your flag is respectfully and properly retired.

With the 25th anniversary of 9/11 approaching, let us take a moment to honor the brave men and women who served, those who made the ultimate sacrifice, and the families who continue to carry their legacy.

Most importantly, let us honor and respect the symbol of the great nation they served. 🇺🇸

Thank you for helping us treat our flag with the dignity and respect it deserves.

Today is National Rainbow Bridge Day: A heartfelt day to honor and remember pets who have passed away. This is the last page in my book, "Chucky Visits the Fire Station", It features a poem that was in Chucky's obituary when we received his ashes and I also included his actual pawprint. This page took me the longest to put together. It was so hard to type the words and not get emotional. So today, we remember our mascot Chucky and all the fur babies that are no longer with us.
