Stephen Bennett Portrait Artist

Stephen Bennett Portrait Artist I make painted portraits + private portrait commissions. contact : [email protected] For he truly believes we are all one people.

Stephen Bennett is an American portrait painter who has traveled to over 50 countries in the last 30 years. He seeks out indigenous people to capture their soulful faces with colorful drawings, oil paintings, watercolor paintings, pastels and acrylic paintings on a grand scale. Young, old, joyful, and withered faces populate these vibrant canvases, celebrating a variety of ethnic strains. Bennett'

s mission is to preserve and celebrate the world's diversity through a unique style of painted realism. The focus of his paintings is on the eyes, which invite us to enter and experience our common humanity. Bennett creates working partnerships in the host country. Each trip culminates in a locally held, cultural art exhibition. His paintings are for sale online and at his exhibits. I support my family and travel with private portrait commissions. It is a great pleasure to create portraits that become a family heirloom or a record of an ancestor. Art

One of my mentors in NYC has passed. Radical painter of light, Joseph Marioni. I took photo portraits for him that are in his catalogs. He never wanted to let me paint his portrait. Maybe I can sneak one in now. Keep painting the light in heaven kind man. RIP

I created this painted memorial portrait of Patrick J. Brown for his best friend and 911 first responder Patrick Dillion.
Acrylic on canvas, 60 x 48 inches.
Patrick PADDY Brown died in the collapse of the towers on 911.
I believe he is one of New York’s greatest heroes.
His best friend Patrick Dillion dug through the pile of rubble for days looking for Paddy.

Wiki:
Patrick John Brown (November 9, 1952 – September 11, 2001)[1] was an American fire captain who served in the New York City Fire Department and a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War.[2][3] He and his team perished during the September 11 attacks, while trying to rescue people in the North Tower of the World Trade Center.
Brown's remains were recovered from the rubble of the North Tower on December 14, 2001, and two weeks later his ashes were spread in Central Park, according to his wishes.[4]
In 2006, his life and times were the subject of the documentary film Finding Paddy.[5]
Jennifer Murphy's First Responders tells the story of Patrick and his brother Michael, who ultimately succumbed to 9/11 related cancer.[6][7] Michael Brown had written What Brothers Do in honor of Patrick.[8]
Patrick Brown was featured in a 2 part episode of "Rescue 9-1-1. Season 1 episodes 19 and 20.
At the National September 11 Memorial, Brown is memorialized at the South Pool, on Panel S-27, along with other first responders.
