What an incredible weekend of Raku firing and kiln building at Belfast Clay Studio! 🔥

One of my favorite parts of traveling and teaching is getting to immerse myself in new pottery communities for a jam-packed weekend of hands-on learning, where everyone walks away with new pieces, new friendships, and lasting memories.

A huge thank you to Ryan Robbins for connecting me with cory and the Belfast Clay Studio community, and to 黒 Mindi Poston Gay and Phineas for welcoming us into their jaw-droppingly beautiful oceanfront home in Lincolnville!

Special thanks to Ryan and Chris for hosting me at Midcoast Forest Getaway in Searsport, genuinely one of the best Airbnb experiences I’ve ever had!

And most importantly, thank you to all the students who participated, especially those who traveled from several states away to join us. I hope you’re all thrilled with your new pieces and left feeling more confident and inspired by this process I love so much.

I’m incredibly grateful for the hospitality, enthusiasm, and connections made throughout the weekend.

Help us make bowls for this year's Harvest Bowl events supporting food access across Maine. No experience needed—just show up and have fun! Last year's event was a smashing success so we are looking forward to making more bowls, feeding more neighbors, and supporting more farms this year!
