We had an amazing day with the Belle Plaine 5th graders on Friday. Special Thank you to the interpreters from high school and college who were spot on, playing Sanford Hooper, Samuel Bowler, Judge Andrew Chatfield, and friends from the 1800's. They toured the red Barn Museum where Arlene Albrecht was again with us showing a glimpse what it was like being a circus performer growing up! And saw the beautiful chariots and horses carved by Leo Albrecht. They toured the City Hall Mural with Lana Kay Beck who painted the mural 30 years ago! Also the HBH House where Mr Hooper and Mr Bowler described life living in the house in the last half of the 1800's! Then on to the Historical Episcopal Church where the met BP Founder Judge Andrew Chatfield with a couple of his good friends. To top it off they all got to play some old fashioned games!
