A Corner To Fill at Potter’s Mill
The historic Potter’s Mill in Bellevue, Iowa has been home to Flatted Fifth Blues & BBQ since 2014. The restaurant, located on the first two floors, with its New Orleans and Memphis inspired cuisine, has also become known for live Blues and Jazz. Each year, over 30,000 people come to Flatted Fifth for the cuisine, live music, and the architecture of the building. Our next endeavor is the addition of an art gallery and coffee shop on the third floor of Potter’s Mill.
“A Corner to Fill” is a tribute to two special family members, one who artistically filled every corner of her home with beauty; the other who was so giving, she often went hungry herself and would often say, “I have a corner to fill.” Julie (Mark’s sister) and Mary Ellen (Rachel’s mom) were amazing individuals, and we couldn’t think of a better way to remember their artistic talent and penchant for nibbling.
