Herbert Stewart played Taps for 74 consecutive years in Franklin and 52 years for Bellingham's Memorial Day Parades. Known as "Mr. Taps", he was recognized for his achievement in December 1973 with a Mass and celebration at St. Blaise Church. Here he accepts an Amethyst pin from John Lundvall on behalf of the Historical Commission.
