Turtles

Looks like this Chaco tortoise (Chelonoidis chilensis) needs a bath! 🛁 Found in Argentina, Bolivia and Paraguay, this large tortoise species is vulnerable to extinction due to habitat loss and the illegal collection of them for the pet trade.

The handsome Ploughshare Tortoise (Astrochelys yniphora), standing tall against extinction! In Madagascar, we work alongside the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust to protect the Ploughshare Tortoise by educating the local communities and marking animals to help reduce poaching.
