Collections Update! The museum was recently gifted five paintings by Bell County artist Marie Cronin.

Marie Cronin (1879-1951) studied art in Chicago and New York. She spent five years in Paris where she set up an art studio and exhibited in local galleries. She returned to the United States as World War I intensified. Her paintings are displayed throughout the state, including portraits of three Texas governors in the Texas State Capitol in Austin. In addition to her artistic endeavors, Marie Cronin was president of the Bartlett-Western Railway from 1926 to 1936.
